Apara Mac Extender
Privacy Policy.
Effective 26 September 2026.
What the app does
Apara Mac Extender connects an iPhone and a Mac that you control. It sends display video from the Mac to the iPhone and sends touch or keyboard input from the iPhone to the Mac.
Data handling
The app is designed for local connections. Video, input, and pairing communications move directly between your paired devices over your local network or a USB-C cable. Wi-Fi sessions use Apple’s peer-to-peer networking with encryption required. Apara Mac Extender has no account system, and it does not upload your display video, your input, or anything you do on your devices to Apara-operated servers. We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers or crash reports through the app.
Names of nearby Macs and iPhones may be shown on your devices to help you choose the device to connect. That information stays on your devices.
Purchases
If you make a purchase, it is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address or payment-card information; Apple tells the app only whether a purchase or subscription is active. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Permissions
The iPhone app requests access to the local network to discover and connect to your Mac. The Mac companion may request screen-recording permission in order to send the display you choose. You can change these permissions in your device settings at any time.
Your rights, and who is responsible
Apara Mac Extender is published by Yogvid Wankhede, who is responsible for this policy. Because the app does not send us personal data, we generally hold none about you; if you email us, the Apara privacy policy describes how we handle that and the rights you have. Requests go to hello@apara.dev.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app changes; the effective date above moves when we do. The current version is always available at this page. For privacy questions, contact hello@apara.dev.
